1. Is it possible to set the JPD Lossy compression as in JPG?

The JPD possible settings are as follows:
A) (Dark Parameter- space colour possible compression settings: With the highest value (65535) there is no compression the default value (20840) corresponds to a medium compression With a value of 5/6000 or lower, there is a high compression and some artefacts could occur. The most evident being the pixelization and the and/or other artefact..

B) Sub-sampling settings: Ex: (1:1, 1:1, 1:1 or 2:2, 1:1, 1:1) when sub-sampling is one to one the quality is at the maximum level the default suggested setting is 2:2,1:1,1:1

C) smooth enabling for error distribution

D) scaling function for very high compressions The scaling function enables you to reduce the image geometry decreasing the image on the axis X and Y for a compression, hence automatically enlarging when decompressing. Note: when using this function in the decompression stage the image seems out of focus due to the process of information extrapolation. This parameter should be used only in extreme particular occasions.

2. is it possible to recompress the PNG format?

If it’s the case of a photo (without the transparency alpha channel) it is possible. In this case CPD recompresses saving all the information but reducing the weight even further.

3. Is it possible to recompress the JPG format?

Yes you can if the saved JPG image has still a certain residual quality. For example many JPG images executed with cameras are usually above 1Mb (in order to preserve the residual quality). In this case JPD can still operate with good performance, hence reducing even further the weight.
